From Bali to Barcelona: the story of Villa Coco.nuts.
We are Ewout and Esther, a Dutch couple with a shared love for Bali, Berlin, and Barcelona. In 2017, we fell in love with Bali, its culture, its people, and its slower rhythm of life. What started as a dream became a place we wanted to call home.
In 2023, we made that dream a reality. We discovered Pererenan, and it felt right from the first moment: calm and authentic, yet refined. It offers a strong sense of local life and an amazing food scene, all just minutes from the energy of Canggu.
Together with a Dutch developer, we built this villa with an uncompromising focus on quality and long-term living. Every detail was carefully considered, from the covered outdoor lounge designed for Baliʼs tropical climate to the custom wall art by a local artist. The result is a home that invites you to slow down the moment you step inside.
Giving back
For us, it was about more than just the building; it was about the people who became part of our lives. We feel grateful to support a local family and a young girl in their studies and personal growth, a connection that remains close to our hearts even now. We built this villa with that same spirit of care: creating a home that is truly connected to the island and its people.
A new chapter
But life has a way of changing plans. While our love for Bali remains as strong as ever, Barcelona quietly found its way into our hearts and has become our new home this summer.
With mixed feelings, we have decided to sell. This villa has meant a great deal to us, itʼs a place where friends and family have celebrated weddings and created lifelong memories. We now hope it becomes a home for someone else, whether as a private residence or a high-performing investment with a proven track record.
